In 2020, I had twins. If you don’t know that, it’s either because you don’t know who I am—which is fair (Hello! Nice to meet you!)—or it’s because I don’t talk about it that much. I’m a pretty private person, so I don’t tend to share much about my personal life. So it was serendipitous to discover my publisher had chosen to call one of my releases—first out the same year I had these babies—Her Twin Baby Secret.
For better or worse, this book has followed me around. It’s been translated a few times. It was republished this year. It was turned into a film.
Well, no, that last one isn’t true. But it feels true because I dreamt it happened. The characters were played by two beautiful actors I can’t remember. The scenes I witnessed didn’t actually happen in that book, but has happened in one of my books. And now that I’m explaining it, it sounds too vague to have felt real. It did though. Maybe because it was such a fun, sweet glimpse into what would happen if any of my books were optioned for film.
