The Lost Heiresses

Run though they might, love will find them…

Lady Rose Dunford is shocked--and titillated--by the number of female visitors coming and going from her mysterious new neighbor's Manhattan brownstone. Recently widowed by the death of her very sweet, but not very exciting husband, Rose finds it difficult to imagine just what the attraction could be.

And then she meets the bachelor in question. Not only is Charlie Avery dashing and outrageously good looking--she knows him! He is none other than the man who once helped her escape the dreary matchmaking plans of her father, the man she once dreamed she could love. Can Charlie's presence next door be an accident? Or has he come to show her everything he has learned about…

Great Read (Wednesday, February 17, 2016)

I couldn't put the book down, finished it in a couple of hours. Loved the characters Rose and Charlie. Charlie was great. He was so in love with Rose and would do anything for her. Rose was more childish spoiled and a little immature but that comes with being young. She had some growing up to do. From an outsider looking in you could clearly see the love Charlie had for her but both had a hard time talking to each other and saying what was really felt. Rose seemed to keep Charlie at a servant status and it really hurt him. She knows in her heart she truly loves him but yet she says hurtful words and in turn made him spout hurtful things. Finally they come together and the chemistry is great the love is perfect. I had a good laugh at the caterpillar comment. (Hilariously funny Jane Goodger is a great author and I absolutely can not wait for the next book in this series. And I will be reading more of her other books. Would and will recommend this to everyone I know.
