The last in a fabled line of otherworldly aristocracy, the Lords of Satyr are born to wealth, power, and a talent for sensual delight that mere mortals only dream of. Commanded to marry, these passionate men will travel to Rome, Venice, and Paris--and along the way will explore desires both shamelessly wicked and blissfully divine. . .
As A Lover, His Skills Are Legendary. . .
The middle brother, Raine, is both sensual and stoic. Scarred by once taking a wife who could not accept his carnal needs, he wants no part in another marriage. But duty commands that he fulfill his promise to wed King Feydon's second daughter, Jordan. . .
But In Matters Of The Heart, He Has Much To Learn. . .
The loyal satyr begins a search that leads him from Tuscany to romantic Venice, where his beautiful bride awaits, unaware of what passionate delights fate has planned for her. Raine is careful not to reveal his powerful satyr sexuality, for fear of driving yet another woman away. But unbeknownst to him, Jordan is no ordinary woman and was born with an insatiable appetite for love. And as Raine's heart begins to melt for her, how long will he be able to hide his true nature when Jordan seems to want him so fiercely?

Elizabeth Amber’s second book in the Lord of Satyr series is a wonderful look into how a hermaphrodite feels. Elizabeth is able to pull you into the psyche of both her main characters and have you rooting for them. This subject matter might not be for all, but I found it fascinating and the emotions that run through the book had me rooted till the very end.
Lord of Satyr, book two, is about a Woman finding herself and breaking out of the mold of being perceived as man because of family requirements. On all but one day a year Jordan is a man of society, but on the day of his/her birth it was inconclusive. Jordan had both a penis and a vagina. To secure an inheritance the doctor and mother decided that “it” was a he. On that one day a year where Jordan is not male he/she is put on display for science. What a horrible thing to go through! Jordan feels feminine inside and hates all the pretence and the acting, but for the sake of the inheritance and his/her mother Jordan does what’s needed. This year Jordan’s life will change!
Raine, one of the three Lords of Satyr is on the hunt for his half-faerie bride and Jordan is it. How will Raine deal with his bride being a hermaphrodite? Will he lover her and make her feel all feminine or will he cast her away? Will Jordan find Raine to be compatible with all of her desires?
Raine, Lord of Satyr was an explicitly hot, desire filled novel that will have you looking for more unique works by Elizabeth Amber. What really drew me into this story was the gripping emotions of both Jordan and Raine and how they made a very interesting situation work for them. No matter who thought Jordan was flawed there was that one special man who could make her feel so good inside. Raine showed that love can prevail in any situation and that makes him one special man. Two thumbs up for another sensual read that will be gracing my keeper shelf.
