Colorful Coleslaw

Serves six.


  • 6 cups shredded red and green cabbage
  • 2 carrots, peeled and shredded
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar (cider vinegar or white vinegar)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh prepared horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground celery seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • Chopped fresh dill


  1. Toss cabbage in a large bowl with the carrots.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients except the dill. Pour the mixture over the cabbage and carrots and toss to coat thoroughly.
