FAQs
What kinds of books do you publish?
We publish a wide range of commercial fiction and nonfiction. For a more complete listing of the genres in which we publish, go to our index, and pull down the menu under "Browse Category." Our catalog will bring up a listing of every book in that genre. For more information regarding Kensington Publishing and the history of our publishing program, see "About Our Company" and "Letter From President."
How do I find an agent?
If you would like your work considered for a major publisher, we recommend that you work with an established literary agent. Agents can be found in such literary guides as Literary Marketplace, or The Writer's Market, which you should be able to find in your local bookstore or library. You can also visit Writer's Digest for more information.
How can I write to or find out more about an author?
We have an extensive library of current author information available with the click of your mouse. On our index simply pull down the menu under Authors, and click on the author of your choice. Almost every author's page will be complete with a biography, photo, e-mail address, home-page address, book signings, awards and accolades, newsworthy events, and a listing of their books.
How can I arrange for an author to sign books at my bookstore?
Please email your request to Vida Engstrand, Communications Director, at vengstrand@kensingtonbooks.com. You may also submit an event request through your sales rep at Penguin Random House Publisher Services.
