About R. J. Fischer:

R. J. Fischer is the pen name of a husband and wife team. He's the "R," she's the "J."

He grew up in Chicago where he was the youngest contestant on "The Quiz Kids" radio show. He moved to Los Angeles when his parents bought a hotel in Hollywood and he attended public school with many famous people who no longer remember him. When he graduated from U.C.L.A, he worked as: a college professor, an independent producer, a freelance photographer, a screenwriter, and a novelist. His credits include; "Fantasy Island," "Simon & Simon," "Time Trax," and Dreamworks' "Invasion America."

She was raised in a small town in rural Minnesota where her neighbors were friendly, the winters were fierce, and the biggest scandal was the spotting of unidentified male undergarments on a young widow's clothesline. She has worked as: a public school teacher, a psychologist, a musician, a private detective's assistant, a corporate, legal, and pharmaceutical secretary, a short order cook at a truck stop, a florist's assistant, a caterer, a computer consultant, a production assistant on a TV quiz show, and is half of a screenwriting team with her husband. As well as happily a mother, wife, and homemaker. They now live in Southern California with her kids, his kids, their three dogs, one elderly tabby, and several noisy rats in the attic. They started writing humor books because both of them like to make people laugh. They share an office filled with so many books and papers, it's difficult for their dogs to find a spot of carpet large enough to warrant a nap. There have been several occasions when he was forced to get up from his desk and shove in his chair so that she had space to leave the room. Their humor book titles include; BABY'S GUIDE TO RAISING MOM, DOGGY DOS AND DON'TS, and WHERE WOULD I BE WITHOUT YOU, MOM?
