About Lucy Monroe:

USA Today bestseller, Lucy Monroe happily lives in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest where green isn't just the predominant color of nature, but a lifestyle choice for many. She thinks it all ties into the same hopeful attitude she finds in romance: the belief that happy endings are as real as tragedy and love carries more power than any other emotion. Sure it takes work and dedicated commitment, but that's what real romance is all about and she believes in it. Hot, gut-wrenching romance with alpha heroes and strong heroines that readers want to love and identify with.

She finds inspiration everywhere, but nowhere more consistently than in her own life-long passionate, but never boring love affair. Her own personal hero has proven time and again that alpha men know how to love and even a lifetime isn't long enough to enjoy that love when it's real.

Devoted to her family, she loves to spend time with them – her sisters and her daughters are her BFFs and always will be. Now that the fitness bug has hit them all, they're as likely to be found going for a power walk together as getting mani-pedis at her favorite salon.

She's as much a reader as an author and chances are your faves are in her TBR pile too. She's always delighted to meet and talk with other readers and hopes you'll stop by one of her social pages to chat.

A GREAT BEACH OR VACATION READ! (Monday, September 9, 2013)
Reviewer: AprilR,My Book Addiction and More

This book is a perfect beach or vacation read. Each story is short and steamy with just enough plot and background info to get you interested in the characters, while the focus remains on the relationship. None of the stories get too deep, and there aren’t a lot of conflicts to resolve. It is also a great representation of each authors’ writing styles.

I think my favorite couple were Carla and Ross at the end. I like the opposites attract idea, and could sort-of relate. Tabby and Calder’s story was more on the sweet side. He was definitely more patient than I was when it came to dealing with her insecurities, which were a bit annoying to be honest. Gayle and Tristan’s story was the hottest for me, but I’ve always been a bit partial to cowboys! I felt a little bad for them, and the fact that they missed out on so many years that could have been amazing. Who really walks out on your high school sweetheart and doesn’t speak for 10 years? I did get really interested in James and Ella’s backstory, and would probably enjoy a few full-length books about them. Their story seemed to be the most interesting with the danger element added. Violet and Brad’s story was probably the most run-of-the-mill, nothing unusual and almost cliché at times. They had some pretty steamy scenes that made it enjoyable though. Overall, a good read that allows breaks between stories. Definitely worth the read.

5 out of 5 Licks for Fish Out Of Water by Cat Johnson

Cat writes some seriously sexy stuff. This story does include characters from the Oklahoma Nights series, but you won't be missing much if you haven't read One Night With A Cowboy-although you really need to read it!! In a bit of a twist for our Cat books we have a cowgirl not a cowboy. Mark is a bit of a nerdy professor, but he is quite strong-willed once he makes up his mind to do something. Carla wants Mark, but is worried she isn't his type. She may not have loads of university education under her belt but none of that matters to Mark. Carla and Mark had a little private party in the water and trust me they had the lake boiling! This is a quick story and the time spent between Mark and Carla may have been short, but Cat did a great job pulling me in and making me feel the flame between them. Just like everything else I've read from Cat Johnson Fish Out Of Water is full of steamy sex and characters that will always leave you wanting more. I can't wait for the next book in this series-I have my review copy now!-I know Cat will knock my pants off again. Seriously, you should worry more about losing your pants than your socks when you read her books! ;)
