Mint Chocolate Cookie Bark with Charlene Groome

Happy Holidays! It’s a busy time for most, trying to fit in Christmas activities, shopping and making memories! Now that my girls are getting older and can help me in the kitchen, I make treats that they can do, so they can feel part of the celebration. I also want easy recipes that don’t require a lot of time. This is one recipe that my whole family eats up. We prefer eating them when they are just out of the freezer. If you don’t like mint, try it with regular Oreos and add sprinkles on top for a festive look.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

MINT CHOCOLATE COOKIE BARK

1 package of Baker’s semi-sweet chocolate ( 8 squares )
1 package of Baker’s white chocolate ( 6 squares )
10 Mint Oreo Cookies

1. Place the white chocolate in a glass bowl and microwave it until melted. In another glass bowl, microwave the semi-sweet chocolate until melted.

2. Crush Oreo cookies and place half in each bowl. Mix.

3. Place wax paper on a cookie sheet and drop spoonfuls of chocolate from each bowl onto the wax paper, alternating chocolate. Swirl the chocolates together for a marble effect.

4. Refrigerate or place in a freezer for one hour. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
