A Letter From Fern Michaels

Dear Readers,

I believe that strong women don’t look back and they don’t give up. That’s the key to success in just about anything, especially writing. When I’m asked for advice by aspiring writers, the best I can do is tell people to work hard and believe in themselves, no matter how many rejections come at first. Keep going. Oh, and read, read, read until your eyeballs hurt!

Fearless has a strong woman at its center. Anna Campbell had to put her life together again after her beloved husband Wade died in a motorcycle accident. She’s done that and more—starting a YouTube channel, The Simple Life, that now has millions of subscribers. Her career and her daughter, Christina, have brought her joy. But after ten years of widowhood, and some bad dating luck, Anna’s cautiously open to finding love again. On a singles cruise, she meets Ryan and feels an instant connection. But the relationship—and Ryan—turn out to be very different from what she first hoped…

One thing you can count on: Anna will find a way to take care of the people she loves, and she’ll keep looking forward. I do the same, with a little help from my friends, my animals, and even my resident ghost, Mary Margaret. She’s still getting up to mischief around the house. She does not like noise or chaos and got ticked off when I had to have my second-floor dormers replaced. The guys doing the work would leave their stuff in neat piles when they left for the day and the next day it was everywhere. Some stuff they never did find. Ha! That was one way to get them to work faster and leave. Other than that we still cohabit nicely and we just keep going. Isn’t that what strong women do?

I hope you enjoy Fearless. And I hope you remember to keep believing in your dreams. I’m living proof that perseverance is the key to success!

Happy reading,
