Founded
in 1941 by Romanian-born philosopher and scholar Dagobert D. Runes,
Philosophical Library is a small publishing company with an original aim to
publish the great works of the brilliant European intellectuals Runes admired
and had befriended, many of whom had fled to America in the 1930s. These were
the distinguished men and women who gave birth to the remarkable ideas that
helped to define the 20th century.

Genesis Press is the largest privately owned African-American book publisher in the country. Founded in
Columbus, Mississippi in 1993, by two
African-American attorneys, Genesis spawned the Indigo imprint, which
was rapidly followed by Indigo After Dark, a series of erotica
anthologies, and Love Spectrum, which portrays interracial
relationships. Since then, Genesis has steadily increased its reach, and
now brings its readers everything from suspense and science fiction to
Christian-oriented romance and non-fiction.
