This book is about covens: what they are and what they do, how to find one and how to form one, and some of the issues covens will face. The author offers her twenty years’ experience as a Witch and seventeen years as High Priestess, along with the insights of more than thirty coven leaders of many different traditions.
The contemporary revival of Witchcraft is based on coven practice. Witches gather in covens—mutually committed, closely bonded, small groups of Wiccan Initiates, good friends, and family by choice—to worship the Old Gods and follow the Old Ways. Covens are support groups for our magical and spiritual development, training groups for our future clergy.
