Kim Schive is a graduate of Harvard University and a former faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Gallaudet University, the world’s only liberal arts university for students who are deaf. She has been an associate editor of Exceptional Parent magazine, a newsletter editor for organizations serving parents of deaf children, and the editor of Deaf Community News, a monthly newspaper for deaf adults. Ms. Schive is deaf and the adoptive parent of an adult son with multiple disabilities. She lives in Massachusetts.
