I have been reading Regency romances since I was in my teens and actually wrote my first one--a truly dreadful effort--when I was about sixteen. But since I chose to pursue an education and career in a different field (automtive technology, with minors in French and business administration), that early effort gathered dust for many years. It wasn't until after the birth of my daughter that I had the time and inclination to take up writing again.My first book, An Inconvenient Engagement, was published by Zebra in 1983. Since then I've written a number of other novels, novellas, and short stories for Zebra, all set in the Regency period. My latest book, Lord Caldwell and the Cat, will appear in October 1999, and I also have a short story, "Hussar's Kisses," which will appear in the story collection Sweet Delights.
At present I am working on a new book for Zebra, entitled Miss Chambers Takes Charge, which will appear sometime in 2000. I enjoy writing and enjoy even more hearing from readers of my books. I work hard to make my Regencies accurate in period detail as well as entertaining in content.
