There's nothing more festive than a winter romance, and in these heart-warming stories, love is a gift that can take you by surprise. . .

The 24 Days Of Christmas by Linda Lael Miller

A matchbox advent calendar first brought Frank Rayner and Addie Hutton together. But that was years ago. There's no way the miracles of Christmas--and the magic of true love--could possibly be hidden under one of its tiny flaps. Or could they?

Christmas Angel by Kat Martin

When Angel Summers' first love, Josh Coltraine, joined the Army, she vowed to hate him forever. But now he's back in Savannah for the holidays--wishing for a miracle that could heal both their hearts.

The Christmas Carousel by Mary Carter

Single mom Georgia Bradley can't afford to fight the developers who want to tear down her beloved Rhode Island auction house--especially Adam Cavalier. But when she receives a mysterious gift, Adam becomes intrigued with its origin--and with Georgia...

A Rose In Winter By Laura Florand

Allegra Caldron knew the rule never to talk to strangers. But on a cold winter night in Provence, she breaks that rule--and more--with an irresistible man. Raoul Rosier seems thrillingly dangerous, yet why does Allegra feel so safe with him--even when she believes he's a thief?

About Kat Martin:

Kat Martin is the author of twenty-one Historical and Contemporary Romance novels. She tackles many different aspects of her genre with settings ranging from the rugged West to the Antebellum South, Regency, Georgian, and Medieval England. Not one to shy away from change, she also tackles Contemporary Romantic Suspense novels which involve the paranormal. Some of her titles include Nothing But Velvet, Sweet Vengeance, and Dangerous Passions. These works have won a bevy of awards including a recent Romantic Times Magazine nomination for Best Historical Romance of 1998 for her latest release, Wicked Promise. She is also published in, among others, Germany, Norway, Sweden, China, Russia, and Spain.

Before starting her writing career in 1985, Kat was a real estate broker. During that time, she met her husband, Larry Jay Martin, also a Kensington author. After double majoring in Anthropology and History at the University of California at Santa Barbara, she found herself incredibly interested in the past. In fact, she and Larry often do research in the areas where their books take place. She remarks, "We like to stay in out-of-the-way inns and houses built in times past. It's fun and it gives a wonderful sense of a bygone era."

In May, Kat will release her next Historical Romance, Night Secrets. Following that is an upcoming Zebra release, a Contemporary Romantic Suspense entitled The Silent Rose, which will be out in August. "It's a ghostly tale of romance and intrigue that was based on a real life incident," says Kat. "It's a little bit scary, a whole lot sexy, and hopefully lots of fun to read."

The Christmas Carousel by Mary Carter
Georgia grew up with her sister and parents and every Christmas her dad would take her to the carousel. He ran the Trash and Treasures Barn and made a living at it.
She had met a sad girl one day and she was afraid to get on the ponies by herself so she held Georgia's hand. Later she learns the little sad girl died of leukemia. They left a box and a picture which has gone unopened.
They live in a RI town where the tourist dollar is large during the summer months. Years later her father has died and it's only her and her son, next door to the bakery running the treasures shop.
Her sister's husband has lost his job in CA and they want to cash in on selling the business that they own 1/2 of to the developers. Georgia with help from the other local businesses hopes to keep the developers away.
Others have made up their minds and Georgia has to sell and learns Adam is one she has to deal with. He soon explains how he knows her and he helps her open the big box from decades ago. Love learning of the RI facts as I am a native myself.
Love the connection and the charity to others of the carousel horse in this book.
.
A rose in Winter by Laura Diorand
Allegra Caldrone is a researcher and she meets Raoul. When she meets him again the next day and learns his last name she realizes exactly the trade his family is in.
