Seeing is deceiving. And Ric Van Holtz, the wolfishly sexy hero of Shelly Laurenston’s sizzling, wildly entertaining new tale, is nothing you expect—and everything you want...
When it comes to following her instincts, former Marine Dee-Ann Smith never holds back. And this deadly member of a shifter protection group will do anything to prove one of her own kind is having hybrids captured for dogfights. Trouble is, her too-cute rich-boy boss Ric Van Holtz insists on helping out. And his crazy-like-a-fox smarts and charming persistence are making it real hard for Dee to keep her heart safe...
Ric can’t believe his luck. He’s wanted this fiercely independent she-wolf from day one, but he never expected teamwork as explosive as this. And now is his last chance to show Dee what she needs isn’t some in-your-face Alpha male—but a wily, resourceful wolf who'll always have her back in a fight…and between the sheets.

BIG BAD BEAST BY SHELLY LAURENSTON....
(Friday, July 1, 2011)
MY BOOK ADDICTION REVIEWS:
This is my first novel by Shelly Laurenston, and I hope to read more. I will say that while for me BIG BAD BEAST was a bit slow. I found too much attention was paid to other characters and an on-going story arc than to the main hero and heroine. They actually find love and get together without too much really to keep them apart, it’s the other storylines that keep moving, for me this was a tad dragging. Now keep in mind this is part of a series and I have a feeling if I’d have read the other books I’d feel differently about BIG BAD BEAST and even with the parts that seemed to drag the overall story was still enjoyable. Fans of Laurenston will certainly want to read BIG BAD BEAST, if you are new to her writing, you’ll find the characters are enjoyable, the story is overall good, but a tad slow at times. I do plan to read another story from Ms. Laurenston. This is a story I’d recommend to all fans of Laurenston and if you are new to her writing, like me, you may find a new author to further investigate.
